Orchic Spring is a spring at Hon Heo island, Ninh Phu commune , Ninh Hoa city, Khanh Hoa province. It is nearly 18 kilometers south of Nha Trang. Orchid spring is a ecotourism resort attracting many tourists for sight seeing.
Orchids spring is derived from the mountain peak of Hon Heo island , mountain height is 700m above the sea, this spring is 6km length that formed from many small springs. I do not know how much the water run from inside the mountain, but I see it runs all of the days. You should go along the spring to see diferent trees , especially orchid , there are so many kinds of orchid here . I think because the spring brings the wet that is suitable for orchid’s life . This is the reason why people named the spring , Orchid.
Without the formation of eco-tourism resort, this place is a poor fishing village living by aquaculture and marine products, especially rice cultivation and planting the fruit trees such as mango, coconut …All of those has been thanks to the stream.
Hon Heo island has a plain about 20 hectares in width conecting to Hon Heo island and Nha Phu lagoon. Orchid spring lasts from the top of moutain to the plain and falls to Nha Phu lagoon. This is the reason why it has the natural beauty and it is also the livelihood of people here.
Suoi Hoa Lan also kept the marks of Champa people leaving from ancient time.
